plate inflating = not happy?

Lately my plate has been inflating late at night. He was in a low flow area but cyano started to build up, so I had to get a little more flow in that area.. its not really heavy but his tenticles do pretty much constantly swing.

Is he not happy, or is this normal?

I read that when they inflate they are trying to move. They can move 1/2" every few hours from what I remember. You might want to move it to a different spot to try and see if the plate looks better. Just an idea.
