I have a small problem that hopefully some of you guys and gals can help me with. I have 1000's of vermetids and would like to get rid of them. I know that they are not bad for the tank and are good filter feeders, but they are taking over my tank. Here is a small helping of them. This is the intake screen from my Mag 9.5 return pump.

Other than manual removal, is there any other method to remove these things? Is there somthing that would eat them? I heard a copper banded butterfly would eat them, but they are not reef safe.

Thanks in advance

If they're population is exploding, that would tend to indicate a very high food supply. I don't know the details of your setup, but maybe that will give you some idea in a change you could make that would halt their population growth.

My tank is a 105 show with 130 lbs lr and 80 lbs ls. The only coral I have at present is frogspawn. I have a yellow tang, mandarin and green chromis. I also have various snails, hermit crabs, 1 sally light foot, and sand sifting star. I feed pellets once a day and about 1/4 sheet of nori once a week. I have a 20g sump and 20g fuge with caulerpa and miracle mud. I'm running an ASM G3 skimmer. Is feeding once per day too much for this load? Will a Sixline eat these vermetids? Any other options for removal?

Thanks
