In the future, I am going to be setting up a 75g reef tank. What MH with actinic lighting fixture would you recommend?

a coralife aqualight pro or an SLS Maristar would be nice "all-in-one" hoods. If you have a canopy you could always retrofit something into it.

Also - it would help to know what you are intending to keep in your reef. Do you want SPS, LPS, or softies or a mixture?

yea sry, I'd like to keep a nice mixture of corals, everything from mushrooms to LPS (and a few SPS).

I would go w/ a 2x175watt. I would look at SPS forum, lps forum, you can see what most of these pros out there are doing. Some on the SPS forum go as high as 2x400 halide set ups...crazy... I personally have a tek 6x54 watt t5 setup, and have mostly sps. Just personal preference....
Good luck....

i really like my SLS Maristar. the quality of this fixture is superb. i have the 2x150w HQI with 2x54w T5.

if i did it again, i'd probably get 2x250w HQI + T5. but 2x150 is plenty for a 75g.
