d.i.y. MJ mod all home made, any tips so far

This is what I got so far for the first attempt. All but prop which hobbie shop wont get till friday. I did a 2" area where the prop will be and the rest 1 1/2". I cut the original base apart and used it in the end of the 1 1/2" piece which fit perfectly that way I could take it on and on if needed. Its got a piece of hard air tubing to center shaft and another piece drilled in under it part way in for a stopper ( for correct flow direction). I wish it was black but no black pvc could be found. I think its a little long but that can be fixed. So what do you think?
