i have a piece of halimeda macro algae and i would like to know what to do with it. the thing is is the halimeda has no roots. its just a small branch (i dont know what else to call it) with 8-10 leaves on it. i was told that it will grow, but since it has no roots i dont know how to plant it. right now i have it it in between two pieces of live rock so maybe it will attach itself it is in my display tank.
thanks so much:rollface:

Find a hole in a rock and wedge it in well. Make sure it's well wedged in so that nothing will knock it out, and let it sit. It will, IME, grow into the rock and eventually spread. That, or it'll putter around and eventually die, which is a possibility as well. 50/50 for me on loose halimeda living.
