I started up my closed loop today after installing my OM 4way.

This pump sure pushes alot of water but man its LOUD!

Does anyone have a tip on how to quiet things down?

Try putting some dampening material (cork, foam) under your pump.

Also, you should have a flexable hose rather than PVC connecting your pump to the ball valves. A lot of your noise is coming from the vibrating pipes. But definately put a mouse pad under that pump before you try anything else.

i have a Sequence pump too, and I respectfully disagree with shagsbeard. the noise from my pump is the rushing of air and the brushes of the motor spinning that I hear. they are great pumps and move lots of water with little energy consumption, but still, if it's in your living room like mine is, it is loud, especially when at full bore. xenon, if you plumbed a ball valve into your CL on the output side of the barracuda, you can throttle it back a bit, which will quiet it down some. that is, if you can accept lower GPH performance. mine has a noticeable lowering of noise at about 30% restricted flow. it's almost like the blower on a car engine turns off at lower rpms; that's how the noise level changes.
