Thanks for the kind words. Almost exactly a year ago, I wasn't sure if this coral was going to make it. The tissue between the heads used to all connect to a common base. One day I noticed a small spot of deterioration, and it progressed from there.

At this point, I was very worried that any further tissue loss would mean I would start losing heads, but fortunately that hasn't happened. It continues to sprout new growth.
I'm still not sure what started all of this - I did accidentally overdose on the lime/vinegar just before that time, and I also had an sps fall and rest on the hammer for a few hours. I'm also wondering if maybe that tissue recession is partly normal after the coral reaches a certain size. Anyway, I'm just happy that it still seems to be thriving.

I love seeing pics like these, where you see such a long time frame between pictures. Great job.
