Is it possible to keep a clown tang with a sohal tang? The Sohal is about 6" I also have a powder blue with the sohal that is about 5 1/2 inches but this could be moved to another tank if necessary. my tank is 260 gal.
Thanx Kent

id say your tank is certainly big enough..most clown tangs die from starvation. if you find one that is eating at the LFS, id say buy one that is smaller than the sohal, as the clowns are known to be very aggressive.

I WOULD'NT DO IT! in my experience, ive had a clown tang that was a tad smaller than the sohal and when i introduced the sohal to my 240 gallon fowlr the sohal scissored up to shred's the clown tang, it was a very sad day for me. they look too much alike and they will kill eachother, please dont do it, hope this help's...

I wouldn't do it either unless you could find an immaculate specimen that was a couple inches bigger than your sohal.

I would go for something like a yellow or kole tang.

Bad idea my sohal tang was very nasty towards any fish that went any where near him during feedign time and let me tell u he has one big sharp scalpel in his tail he will def destroy that clown tang they are the exact same species except the fact that the sohal tang is from the red sea.

SOHAL's are mean!!! I wouldn't even think about another tang. I have 1 in a 500g and he is getting more aggresive by the day!
I might have to pull my other tangs out of there. SOHAL's get meaner as they get older.
