I have an OM Squirt with 4 - 3/4" outlets. I have an external mag 9.5 running to my chiller and then to the return line. I want to plumb the OM Squirt to the return line which is 3/4".
I am going to reduce the 4 squirt outlets to 1/2" so the flow is stronger. Should I run 3/4" pipe and reduce to 1/2"at the loc line fittings discharge. or should i reduce the pipe to 1/2" at the OM squirt and run 1/2" from there?

I would contact Paul at OM. My gut instinct would be to leave it all 3/4...http://www.oceansmotions.com/forum/

You don't need to have strong current in your tank, just lots of water movement. You don't want to stir up your sand etc... Also if you are looking for more flow, I would plumb in a closed loop instead of using the OM for a sump return.

Good advice, Paul will be able to advise you on this matter. He helped me set up my OM recently and gave good advice.
