I have a 2 x 250w DE halide fixture, and I noticed this morning that the light is running for like 20 minutes then shutting off for like 30 seconds to a minute then firing back up???

Does anyone know what would be causing this?

Any help would be appreciated

When mine done that it was time to get a new bulb. I had two bulbs on seperate ballast and when this happened to me I switched the ballast to make sure that it was the bulb and not the ballast. HTH

These Hamilton 14K are only 4 months old, they were replaced on Halloween.

I was considering switching bulbs anyway, I guess now I have more reason than ever.

I just replaced a Hamilton that was <6 mo old because it refused to stay lit. And after fighting with it for several days it finally wouldn't light at all. It would flicker like it wanted to light, but wouldn't fire.

I took a good look at the bulb and there was a chunk of glass from the inner envelope that had blown off one end and was rolling around in the botom of the outer glass sleeve.

This one is going out longer and longer now, it just isn't wanting to fire. It is going off every 10-15 minutes and is staying off for like 1-2 minutes.
