I have been wondering if clownfish will actually host certain types of softies. I have heard that the devil's hand is possible but I was wondering if there were any others that were possible.

I have heard of them hosting in hairy mushrooms and toadstool leathers, and a few LPS. Mainly those corals that have tenticles out most of the time.

I have two clownfish hosting green strip and bulleye mushrooms. I tried to thin out the growth and they tried to bit me! haha. I also have a lot of LPS and they dont like them. I have also seen clownfish host zoos instead of the anemone put in for them.

I want to keep sps (acros) too. Doesn't that pretty much rule out the soft corals? What would be a good option?

if you look behind the fiji you can see them in their toadstool. they are so cute. the female will go in the folds on the side and just lay there with her tail sticking out..

LPS that sometimes hosts clownfish are Frogspawn, Hammer, some other Euphyllias. My tomato clown is trying real hard to host in my cabbage leather. They have been in the same tank for 4 yrs and I think tomato is starting to fall in love.

Realize that if a clownfish does host anything other than an anemone, it's just blind luck. I've even heard them to host overflows and powerheads. In addition, realize that clownfish don't need a host to live an perfectly happy life.

I have soft with LPS and SPS. I have Montipora digitata and green slimer and some other unknown acros. But I have been trying to keep them on different sides of the tank. I think the big problem with soft are leathers I think.
