I have a 6045 and I like it. Lots of flow. However, I think the best deal out there is to get a 6025 and mod it to get higher flow. Looks cleaner than an MJ mod and a heck of a lot cheaper than a 6045. I would just like to know if anyone has tried a seio ac controller on these nanos!

problem for me is I just bought some Hydor #4 for $39. The nano 625 move almost 50% less water and cost $25 more each.

If you're planning to keep sps, you should look into the regular turbelles. If you don't have enough coverage, you can add some nanostreams to areas that need more flow. A 6055 reportedly won't push past the 3' mark, so you won't get full coverage in a tank that size. Furthermore, they're supposed to be available in late march, but Tunze has had a very difficult time producing enough 6025's and 45's, so don't be surprised if you're waiting an extra 3-6 months for the 55's to arrive.

If you can get your hands on any of the nanostreams, they probably function just fine. However, check out the tunze forum; they've had some major issues with pumps chattering, steel rods rusting, etc. etc. Their customer service is fantastic (you'll get a replacement very quickly if you run into a bad pump) but there have definitely been issues arising from the nanostreams. I know that GSMguy had a chattering pump himself; why he's so quick to recommend them to everyone, I don't know.

i took the chatering one apart cleaned it and put it back together and no problems. I would use two 6000 streams on a 100 gallon though. The nanostreams are nice but they really should be on a 36inch or less tank

it should be okay to have the 6025 on a wavemaker as long as it is time to turn on/off every 15 mins or more. i ask roger v about these and he confirmed it to me that it's fine. i used to have my 2 6025 on a tsunami wavemaker without any problem.

I have 2 6025's in my 40 gallon and love them. Wouldn't change a thing about them.

The pumps themselves are great, but the plastic holders are two seperate pieces and I would like to see them be one piece so they won't be so fragile.

Personally for a 100 gallon tank I would use 2 MJMODS 1200 large flows and use sea-swirls or Rat drives to turn them.
You can build a pump turning device (check the swirler-stein thread) for like $25, so you could have awesome flow and good looks (the MJMODS are much smaller than a Tunze 6000) for around 150 bucks total, and use almost no electricity.

In short, the 6025 mod allows a flow of nearly 1200gph (a 70% increase) at 7w without any change in the pump's appearance.

BTW, some of the problems with the first batch of 6025s were apparently fixed.
