So i sent this email to Ocean Motion about which squirt to use, here is what i got back. Im curious what you all think about the response, are they just trying to sell the more expensive or would that be the best.

here is a pic of my tank for reference

Hi Joshua,

For a 100 gallon tank a Super Squirt would be great and it can
certainly handle
your 1700 gph pump with no problem. A version 3 drum would give you
lots of
random flow.

I'd personally would go with the 4-way becuase of the 1.5" inlet. While the SS may be fine now with the 1" inlet, it will give you more options down the road and likely better resale since they are quite popular to use in combination with sequence pumps.

Listen to Paul, he gives good advice and is very knowledgeable on the subject. Personally I own a SS and it is more than enough for a 100 Gal Tank.

I would not use a 1700 GPH return pump. Way too much flow though a sump. The OR 3500 and a regular 4 way Squirt would be a good return setup IMO.

it wouldnt be going thru the sump, i have that on a seperate drain and return, much slower

this would be sucked out then put back in :)

Its a closed loop? Then by all means, get a big pump and appropriate OM to match! I like 4 way models.

I know my coral and non mobile are going to love it

but what about my shrimp and fish how will they like the ever changing flow?
