I've got a SCWD and mag5 on my 28g and the flow is not satisfactory...How many GPH can these things handle?

I think they handle up to something like 1200 or 1500gph. I have a Mag 9.5 running from my sump through mine and then to the corners of the tank for my return. Works well for me, though it's far from providing enough flow for my sps tank. But that's what closed loops and Koralias/MaxiJet Mods are for...

The main problem is the restrictive inlets and outlets along with the friction to move. There are mods out there to help open it up more if you want to bother with it.

I also tried on a OR2500 which is very comparable to a Mag5 and it was too restrictive and got rid of it in just a few weeks.
