In an aquapod there are two back chambers, seperated mostly by a middle divide, thats where all the filtration happens... i was thinking of taking out the filtration and starting a fuge back there. my question is can the pods take being sucked back into the display by a pump? or will they kinda get obliterated?

sure can :) They'll just go right through the pump as they're way too small. If food can go through a pump w/out breaking up, a pod sure can

That's how it works with refugiums. The pods reproduce in there and then get shot up to the main tank. Abra-cadabra!!!

The pods themselves don't make the journey... it's their juvenile stages that make the trip. They're way under 150 micron at this stage so they'll even make it through a filter.

I could see how an amphipod might not make it through if its fully grown. But a copepod? Every time i see copepods they're really tiny. I would think at least they would make it through (when they're bigger than the juvenile stages i mean)

Just imagine they're on a water slide ride at a theme park!
