I was going to pick up some ricordia for my biocube. Are they easy to keep? Any special needs? Any advice would be helpful.

I think it would be a good choice for it. They arent particularly demanding, and are pretty good at adapting to different lighting conditions. They dont have any particularly special needs beyond the usual basic tank maintenance and water quality.

That's cool , My LFS has some single greens for 16 bucks. They are unattached to anything . I plan on netting it on to a liverock frag till it attaches . I did that last week with a blue mushroom. I heard the ricordia can sting is that true ? do I have to worry about that when touch it?
thanks for the info BTW

I've never been stung by a ric yet.

True. Just had an aggravating example of that happen in my tank not too long ago. Any corallimorpharian next to say a Favia will fight with it; in my case, the shrooms eventually killed off the Favia.
They dont seem to have much of an effect on eachother, but I would keep them away from stony corals.

Do they have some sort of sweepers? The only stony corals I have right now is a candcane and a pagoda cup. I have plenty of room in the lower right corner , maybe i will place them there!

No real sweepers as far as I can remember, just a strong punch. Not likely to affect anyone that isnt being directly touched.

I think that bottom right corner would be a perfect spot for some rics.

BTW, that Turbinaria is Really nice.. beautiful shade of green to it.
