What is this coral? I have one that hitchhiked into my tank, didn't even realize it was a coral until I saw this picture.

Looks like some kind of Gorgonian

I'll see your gorgonian and raise you to a purple sea ribbon gorgonian :D

(I'm going with the purple popsicle-stick profile and the typical offwhite octocoral polyps that predominantly arise from the two thin edges and rarely if ever from the wide flat part)

On live aquaria it says they are hard to keep. Any tips on how to keep it healthy? I have MH's for lighting and it sits about the middle of my tank so it's getting good flow.

Was the rock from Bali/Indonesia/Fiji, or was it Caribbean (Tampa Bay, etc)?
Not all gorgonians are hard to care for; some are filter feeders that depend on the correct type of flow and food particle size; others are photosynthetic and use filter feeding as more of a 'supplement'. The photosynthetic ones are much easier to keep. I have one of the sea ribbons/razor/cactus gorgonians at home, and it grows somewhat rapidly- lots of flow, halide, and a lot of food.

Most likely photosynthetic; I got a couple on my TBS rock, and theyve done very well for me.
