recently acquired a very nice branching hammer coral with 4 heads, however, one of them is dying as it was when i purchased it. should i frag the dead head or leave it alone? also, where in tank should i place regarding water flow and light?? i have pc 260 w

Leave it alone - it may regenerate, it may not. I place mine where the polyps sway in multiple directions - not linear and not fast or rough.

I would also leave it alone. It may come around. Lighting wise you should be fine where ever. A 55gal with 260w PC should be plenty at any level I would think.

Provide as much lighting as a possible and moderate current to assist in keeping the coral clean. This has been working for me.

well, the head ended up dying completely and i had to remove all this gunk =, however, the remaining 3 heads seem to be doing great. i have seen no sweeper's on mine though, is that normal?
