Here is my new 36 corner that I have been waiting on for awhile. We drilled the closed loop last Sunday, painted the back and added the overflow. Waited for everything to dry and took it to work Monday evening. Plumbed it and did water test--Looks great. Got the rocks and sand off RC and hopefully it doesn't take long to cycle. Can't wait to get stuff in there. I know i know patience--I DON'T HAVE ANY--IS IT DONE YET???????
GRRRRRRRRRRR photo buckets down I will post pics when there back up.

Nice, what kind of lighting are you going to use on the 36? I have been thinking about a small 6g at work and have been affraid of evap, how do you maintain evap control over the weekends and long holidays?

Nice!!! I really love the rock work. I would also like to know what lighting you're going to be putting on there.

It must be nice to be the boss! I want a tank a work so badly, but that's a no go here.

What are your plans for livestock?

I am the epitemy of jealousy right now. I can't even have one tank at my desk and she has TWO!!!

Ya know a small Moray would look so cool in the 36....

I have a Sunpod 150 HQI ready to go on it as soon as replacement legs get here. Still working on the livestock--I have a clown Tang that I have to pick up today---He's gonna go in a QT tank waiting for the 36 to cycle--I know I know-- call them tang police--but he is very small--as he outgrows the 36 he will go into the 125--So I can say hes going to a second QT tank- for awhile--LOL--waiting on firefish-and small gobies----zoos--clam brain- etc

That's cool to have your tanks at work like that, I agree I wouldn't get anything done though with that distraction.

The distractions is not the tank--but the people coming in to see it..OK OK then I guess it is the tanks. The good thing is that i'm not in my office all day--got to hit the streets but man it's relaxing to be able to look over and watch the 4 fish swimming. Got the rest of the stuff moved today. So far so good. Got the nano taken down and back home. It will become another tank at home. Probably a zoo tank. I'll do pics in a couple days.

Looking good! Is that a clown tang in there?

normanviking
03/08/2007, 01:31 PM
Yeah is that a clown tang? That looks awesome. I really like the aquascaping. Did you say that you have a 150 halide in it? Looks dark. I guess that is why it looks so different. Like a DEEP Reef tank. lol Looks like your a in a sub looking out. I like it.

Dan, she is getting that dark look because we painted the two sides black and the only clear area is the bow front.

Russ, yes that is a clown tang and he seems to be doing great in there. When he gets bigger she will move him to the 125 that is going to be the next project.

Those corner bowfronts are some of my favorite tanks. I really like the way there is so much swimming room in the front of the tank. We measured the front around the bow and it came in at 38".

Thanks Todd
You said it for me--I love this tank---
The clown will go to the 125 as soo as she outgrows the 36--but for now she is very happy--she chases the bar goby very well--lol-
Again do far so good-gonna start putting some corals in probably next week. Only thing that bad about having a tank in my office at work is having to go down there on the weekends. OH WELL--
Thanks for all the help guys.

I've been looking for a corner tank myself, but only found the 54g and up.

Where did you find the 36, and who manufactures them?

Hi Roush
I got the tanks from Fishie Business-
Keith ordered it for me.It's made by All Glass tanks. I absolutely love it. And so does alot of people from work including my BOSS which told me last week he could set there and watch the tanks for hours.LOL
