Has anyone modded the Octopus Needlewheel 150 as an external protein skimmer?
It seems that I can either leave the pump in the sump and have the skimmer out of it with an elbow on the exit pipe with a gate valve to control the height.
Perhaps I'm wrong but I am wondering if anyone has done it. It really isn't a big deal but I didn't realize just how huge this skimmer was and I don't want to have my return section to small.
