I recently bought a kenya tree with a poor base attachment. Part of it has separated from the base.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to save it or why this has happened?

I use Super Glue Gel to attach them. If its only partly separated the glue should work. If it totally detatches sit it in a cup or a bowl with sand in it. After a week it will attach to the sand, then glue the sand to a rock.
rubber band it to rubbel you can,t kill those things

ya i had a loose stalk and took a rubber band tied it around pointy end of one of my rocks after a few days attacked in multiple spots and growing as we speak. The rubberband actually went through the leather its really weird.

i used a ruber band on mine too...it did cut right through but it healed up nice now...
not sure why it detached itself though...did it fall? new fish introduction that may not like it?
i didnt think you could use glue on softies...

Well, I have about 100 daughter colonies all over my 300 reef. They attach to everything.
Rubberbands do work, but almost always they WILL cut through. An idea is to put the frag in a depression in the rock, and rubberband over that, so when the rubberband is "tight", that depression in the rock prohibits it from cutting all the way through.
I prefer to stick a plastic toothpick through the base, then rubberband the toothpick to the rubble.

I put a rubber band around it to a rock. I'll see what happens.
Thanks
