Can sps corals be "happy" if my PH stayed at 8.3 constantly? Or should i try to keep at 8.2?

Thanks

well don't let a point or two scare you. 8.5 then I'd be concerned. The whole hobbie is more of a you should be in this range kind of thing. are you using lime water for topoff, if so you could add a little vineger 25ml per gallon top off give or take to the limewater if it ever got really high but I don't think kalkwasser goes up much more than 8.5 anyhow. and Soda Water if it got emergency high like 9.0 ish. as is no worries man, doing good so far. You should put some stats of your tank in your signature.

8.2 8.3, 8.38 those are all fine, It would have to be 8.5+ to be harmful.

Like blacktone said, distilled white vinegar is very useful in reducing Ph. Try dropping in 1/2 teaspoon at a time until you get it down to 8.2-8.3. Try not to drop it more than .1 in a day though.
