I have a H&S 150-F2001 on my 120G. A few days back I cleaned my skimmer and it hasn't skimmed anything since.
I have 7 small fishes. My chaetomorpha is packed pretty densely lately. Would this be the reason that the skimmer stopped skimming? Or is there anything wrong with my skimmer?

Is the macro algae surrounding the skimmer? If it is, then maybe that's why. If the skimmer is on a spot all by itself then it should still be working I would think. If theres no macro algae around it to clog an intake or something, then I would maybe call H&S and ask why it stopped working.

The intake is not clogged, but it does have a layer of chaeto on top of the water surface. I use it to cover the skimmer compartment so that diatom won't grow from the light spilling from the refugium.
