A. allardi and A. akindynos fall into the same category as A. chrysopterus and black A.polymnus in terms of difficulty to spawn them and raise fry. Small fry, small yolk, wrong diet for the parients, hence lots of misbar and dead fry.
Sanjay has a pair of breeding akindynos, do a search on this forum to find out more.

Hi Marina :)
What are your feelings on difficulty of Bicinctus fry raising? Are they around Akyndinos? Or easier? Harder?
I've been getting some massive die-offs at around meta. Much more so than the Clarkiis.
Best,
Ilham

Ilham,
I have never bred bi's. My female killed several mates, she is something... And in solitary for now

Mine have been spawning regularly since August. About a year and a half after I received them. They spawn every 11-12 days and eggs hatch on the 8th night. They lay about 1000-1500 eggs.
Here is a picture of their first nest.

Here they are in action.

Good to see my babies are all grown up :)
You have taken good care of them, Calvin :)
If they did not come from the same family that I used to own, I would swear the male is a chrys.
