I bought a gbta about a week ago and he has had a bad time, in the first night he got his foot sucked in the filter but now he seem to look fine. My question is are there tentacles suposed to be sticky? My bta's dont fell sticky at all. Also I feed him about 3 days ago and I dont know if he ate or not but he hasnt ate anything since. Is this normal for a new one? Thanks for any help.

this is not normal for a healthy anemone also getting its foot damaged could be very bad for

What can I do to better its odds? Whats not healthy the not eating right away or the non sticky arms?

Not being sticky is not healthy. The foot being torn is not healthy, but I have had one recover from a torn foot. What are you feeding it?

The foot never got tore and looks fine, however acouple of the tentacles got tore off. Will not haveing the foot tore and the arms instead increase it's chances? I'm feeding it frozen table shrimp, and I got some mysis shrimp that I will try to feed with a turkey baster.

Also someone told me if the arms and short and bubbly they wont be sick because there full. Is that true? His arms have been bubbly during the day and when lights go out they get a little longer.

The tentacles should be sticky all the time...if they are SHORT and bubbly, your anemone might be starving.

Definately not true. Should be sticky to be able to grab onto food.

An anemone can recover from having tenticles torn off. However, it really depends on the health condition it was in to begin with.

Try soaking foods in selcon before feeding. Got a picture?
