sick leather???

Nothing in my system changed
Everything tests great
other similar leather look just fine

my tigertail has been cleaning around his base, but thats the only thing that changed

He has not exteneded his long tentacles in atleast 3-4 days

what do you think? Should I frag him up??

I'm no expert but I've been told that leathers sometimes close up and produce a slimy coat. They can do this for a few days and then 'shed', coming back better than before.

Hopefully a veteran can come on and conform this for you :D

he does have a thick couple of pieces of slime hanging from him, now that i moved him to a higher flow area

How long has he been in there? I've heard they can take a while to get settled but they're pretty indestructible. Mines certainly been though a lot!

... Mail order, me frantically trying to tie him to a rock, giant hermit crab attack (crab taken back now! :)), being moved around by me, a hole from me trying to hold him down with a shell so he'll stick (oops!), various flows. He seems very happy now in a low flow area at the bottom... whew! :D
