Would two Blueline 70 CL's with penductors be enough flow for a barebottom 48x48x25 cube?

Would I be better off going with a version 4 OM 4 way with squirts?

I was going to run my four 6100 streams, but I'm not sure I want to risk using the Tunze magnets on 1" acrylic.

Any advice would be apprecaited! :)

Where are all the penductor users? :)

I'm planning on using two penductors on my return from a Pan World 250, for my 160 gal. Thats a pump wich can handle back pressure, which I read is the key to penductors.
I like to think conservatively on pump output, by the time the system is plumbed, you've lost a lot of your original flow, I chose to get a bigger pump capacity and use ball valves ahead of the penductors, in order to have the control, if the pressure was too much. Whats the gph on those pumps, I think your thinking the right way though, 4 penductors would be great flow.

I use two penductors on my Iwaki 55RLT pump. They move the water a lot. The flow is no where as broad as a stream. But, they are very strong. I use mine on a 75G tank. Not sure if this will help you at all. But, I don't have experience with a tank that size.

MGB-

The blueline 70 is the model below the panworld 250ps(same pumps). It moves 1750gph. I'm figuring with headloss I should get about 1300gph to split between 2 penductors.

Dave,

Sounds like I should be alright with the 2 penductor CL's. How random of a flow can you create?

Thanks!

I have the CL along with 2 Stream 6100's and a few other pumps.... I dont think it would be enough for a BB tank, exspecially the size you are doing. I run mine on a SQWD, but, I don't find it very reliable. Go with a Oceans Motions, with penductors maybe...And a stream or two.

I'd love to just stay with the 4 6100's I have, but there's no magnet for anything larger then 3/4". I've read the 6200.50 will hold on 1", but it's pretty weak. I have a 1 year old and another on the way. I don't want them pulling the magnets off the tank and creating a big mess. :)

Maybe I should do the OM 4 way and run penductors on my return pump which will be a blueline 100 coming from the basement.
