getting mushrooms to attach

Hello,
I just recently got mushroom frags from someone and I put them in a tall tupperware with rock rubble in a low flow area. the bottom of the tupperware is not completely cover with rumble, Should it be? and should I put some sand in there.

is this a good way to get them to attach

What i do when i frag mushrooms is...

1. cut the polyp in half
2. get a container of some sort
3. pour crushed coral and some rubble
4. then put a mesh covering over it so the polyps wont fly away :)

So yes the bottom generally needs to be covered....

I have then in a really tall tupperware without a top, they seem to be staying in there , also some of the mushroom went under some of the rubble and are tiny, will those be ok? I keep checking on them but they always seem to migrate to the bottom.

I like to keep the entire bottom covered with rubble from that happening.....:)
