Hi i have bought a new protin skimmer via aqua

But its not making any foam is it possible that my aqua does not have any protin in the water

How long has the tank been set up Freak? Is there any livestock in it or new LR or LS?

its been 6 months now with 2 carpet and 8 fishes in total
and i have a few peices of lr = 5 in total with 2 150 Watt MH

Pretty heavy stocking. If that intake swivels try turning it close to the surface. The proteins tend to accumulate at the water surface.

are you able to get the bubbles to overflow into the collection cup? if so set it slightly lower and keep on experimenting, some skimmers can be quite hard to set and that looks similar to a prizm that I once had which was a bit of a pain but worked well once done right

no the bubbles are not reaching the cup
and i cannot lower it anymore

Are you able to change the amount of water that flows into the skimmer? making the water rise in the chamber?

its filled to the brim
cannot change the level

and my no3 is 10

also make sure that the water level is at the recommended depth for the intake
