Is there some way to let me know when your dosing pumps will be in?I want to try you guys out. I need a pump to dose 2-part solution. From what I've read you are not supposed to dose both parts at the same time so my question is how do you use the 2 head pump?I would be using it in my sump. Could I just dose small parts over like a 8-10 hour period or would it be better to just get 2 single pumps? I like the 2 head pump because at least I know I would at least be dosing the same amounts of both solutions.

It seems it is always tomorrow with these guys : (
I think the single head pumps will be here soon and there is a wait on some parts for the dual head
Ideally you should dose at separate times but more so when you are pouring this into your tank by hand. these pumps it emit like 1ml (like a drop) a minute so i would feel very safe dosing at the same time as long as the hoses were in different parts of the tank.

Sounds good. I would feel safer with the 2 head pump so at least I'm dosing equal amount of the 2 part solution. I'll check your web site daily to see when the pumps come in- thanks

well he told me the single head pumps went out today and the dual head ones are on back order but the parts should be in at the end of the week. So i am not really sure when the dual head pumps will be in ...

I'm interested in the dual head pump for dosing two parts. I have the following questions after reading info from your website.
1. Is the 1.5ml/minute very accurate, I'm afraid of over/under doseing.
2. If I need to dose 20 ml each per day, I set up a digital timer and let it run 20 / 1.5 = 13.33 minutes, correct?
3. What is a digital timer, do you carry it, if not, where can I get it?
Thanks!

1) it will always emit the same amount and easy to test . just turn it on for 10 min and see how much is in the cup : )
2)yep
3)digital timer looks like this and can be found at any home depot or walmart. often used for Turing lights off and on .http://www.superiorgrowers.com/superiorgrowers/products/timer-hd-digital-det.jpg

well as of today we changed the shipping so it is more accommodating to everyone.
we now use UPS to ship, but we do have a section on the site that uses the flat rate boxes. Shipping is included in the price . This will be the best way to order some of our heavy items if you live a long ways from Minnesota.

We had to move away from these boxes being our primary way of shipping because we now offer too many light items that ship way cheaper with UPS.

a few did bit they sold in seconds .
I don't want to quote when they next ones are coming because they have never been on time before.
I am currently sourcing another supplier of pumps so we end this frustration for our customers and ourselves . We have a very strong candidate in mind and they can provide as many as we need as quick as we need them .

maybe three weeks. they have some issue with their own motor supply .
Just so you know, We are getting new samples in from other companies and testing them out. Most of them are just too loud or two expensive for our application .

Any updates as to if you have any new dual head dosing pumps coming in? OR Are you backlogged on these, is it even worth trying to check if these are available since you are testing new replacements? Thanks

What's the noise level on these pumps? Are they loud?
Snarkys
05/25/2007, 11:47 PM
doubt you could hear they are on more than a few feet away : )
certainly couldn't hear it over the typical noise that a aquarium makes . I have one on a tank without a sump and i can't hear them at all , i have see see the wheel spinning : )
