Wet skimming

For a FOWLR tank with predatory fish in, would you recommend one skim wetter than usually or not? I.e. what would be the most effective?

I tend to skim more on the wet side. I don't think it really makes much difference, other than how often you have to empty the cup.

I agree. The wetter the mixture the more you have to empty the cup, but you would also be removing the most junk possible. I go for a dark brown mixture, ususally just under 1/2 the collection cup is filled with really dark mucky water and the top half is filled with brown foam.

Mine is filled with a dark brown watery content and the only foam is that that boiled over if I do not clean it.
