What size overflow & returns

I am in the process of moving up to a 300. It will have 2 built in overflows and returns; what size should these be to get a good return rate and what is a good pump for this? Thanks Jeff

Dual 2in drains and 1.5 returns. If filtration is in the basement, then a Sequence Reeflo Pump.

i can agree with this. i am trying to push a sequence dart through my 180, and the 1" drain holes in my tank really need to be bigger. once the glass is drilled, it is easier to reduce it, then enlarge it!

I did dual 2" drains and dual 1.5" returns with a reeflo hammerhead and it's perfect little noise and good flow
