all i need to know is what adapter i want to get because right now i live in my girlfriends moms house. she doesn't have a basement or a sink in the garage. the only sinks we have for a faucet adapter are the bathroom and kitchen and i don't want to tie those up. we do have a hose in the front of the house though. i was wondering if i got the hose adapter if i could hook up the unit when i need to use it and unhook it when i don't. that way i can get ro/di water but not tie anything up permanently, especially when i will be moving out in the near future.

Yes a garden hose adapter will work. Keep in mind water temperature along with water pressure affect the output of the RO/DI unit so in cold weather you may get much less water especially if its from an outside hose. Always store the unit inside so it will not freeze.
