Your BTA needs to be 3 times bigger than the clowns. I would look for the smallest maroon possible. How big is the one you have?

my BTA is about 7 inches maybe more when he is fully opened and the clown i have now is about 2 inches or so...so what do you think?

Try to find the one smaller than you have. You should be using QT for 30 days also.

QT is an opportunity for you to observe the fish for any sign of parasite/disease without the risk of contaminating/infecting any of your other fish, and also to treat said fish without risking your other inhabitants.

I'd also hit any new fish with a freshwater bath prior to QT, just in case there's any Ich present.

Nice thread, but a 10 gallon QT tank in front of any of my 3 tanks for 30 days would be impossible to keep up with maintenance.

Well I just threw a smaller GSM in w/ the female and w/in 30 mins they were swimming w/ each other. Of course I watched them in case the small one got the crap beat out of him.
