View Full Version : Question about fish that doesn't have signs of ich!

My tank recently had an outbreak of ich. I have a yellow tang, a false percula, and a leopard wrasse.

The yellow was the first to have signs, then my clown, and i had a royal gramma that didnt make it.

So my yellow and clown have been in a 10 gal qt for almost 2 weeks. i am treating w/ copper...the ich signs disappeared, but they will be in there for at least another 3-4 weeks just to make sure.

my leopard is still in my main tank. it hasnt shown any signs of ich, and ive watched it closely for the past few weeks. so...

if my leopard hasnt shown signs, does that mean it is ich free?

lets say he continues to appear healthy for the next 4 weeks while the other two fish remain in qt, will the ich in the main tank die?

Thanks for the responses.

No your tank will most likely not be ich free. You need to QT all your fish regardless of signs. Just because you don't see signs doesn't mean the wrasse does not have Ich.
