I really like these units, they exceed most industry standards for waterproofing. My only concern is that the double strip light fixtures have one reflector for two bulbs. I looked at the SLR retro kit but they are not nearly as shiny as the stip light units plus they are just as wide. Isn't it the reflector that gives the T5 all its power?

I sent an emial to Hagen as well, inquiring about possible triple strip light units, but they said the chances of producing these units is quite unlikely.

What are your thoughts?

ohh measurements on the units, for those that care, width wise, they all come in standard lengths 24" 36" and 48".
retro reflector - 5 inches wide
single strip light - 3.5 inches
double strip light - 5 inches

You get what you pay for. Those may provide decent performance. I just wouldn't expect them to do what the Teks and Ice Caps do.
