I made the mistake of adding new phosphate remover without soaking and rinsing. Strange given that it's the same brand and everything (seachem), and I've done this before. This time I get the milky white water in my tank.

So, will this stuff settle out, or am I in a water change situation? It seems awfully fine grain. The fish seem fine.

I can't get to it for 48 hours anyway, so I'll just see what happens.

Hmm, I wouldn't use PhosGuard because it contains aluminum, but I suspect the residue you're seeing will settle in a while.

if you have a PS it should remove some of it at most

It's very slowly getting better. I usually do 20% monthly, but I'll start doing it weekly until it's clear again.
