I just recently got a porcupine puffer and he has come down with ich what can I do for him? he is the only fish in the tank besides some snails but he is in with about 70 pounds of live rock. I have tested the water and all parimeters are good so I think he is just stressed.

Kelly,
I'd recommend keeping the temperature around 82-84 degrees over the next month to 6wks. Feed good healthy meaty foods like clam, shrimp and fish flesh from your local seafood deli. Also add sheets of nori (seaweed you can purchase at the LFS or oriental market) soaked in a vitamin supplement such as Vitachem or Selcon.

I would also recommend running a hang-on UV Sterilizer and/or a diatom filter. Provided it is a simple outbreak and the fish is overall in good health, ich is really nothing to get overly excited about.
