I am reconsidering whether it is Ich since I have been at hyposalinity @ 1.009 for the past couple of days and there is no sign of it disappearing.

I am no means an expert but that looks like Ich to me. It its in a QT, I'd reccomend a copper treatment. Worked well for me in the past...

Yup indeed in my QT tank. I had great success with hypo before - maybe I should wait another couple of days???

Yeah, plus I am nowhere near versed enough in different fish diseases for me to feel comfortable with you taking my opinion as fact. I think thats what it is, but I would definately let some other, more experienced posters have a chance to look at it...

The good news is that you have a QT set up and that no matter what it is, it'll likely be treatable and it will definately not get into your main system :D

that looks like fin-fungus at the ends. ich is dots, not streaks.

Is there lots of dots on the body too? I'm not seeing any. This seems localized on the fins

and there's nothing saying there couldn't be several diseases because once the fish is weakened, it's party time. fungus and bacteria are great "me too" diseases that show up secondarily

Too bad that guy didn't have a nice 100gallon tank all to himself for a couple months. IMO That crap would all go away. He just looks stressed and worn down to me.

I was thinking about asking the same thing actually. Does he have white dots on his body too? I want to say I see a few on the first picture, but I can't really tell...

Yup lots - especially around the edges of his body.

Well my bet is Ich, but like Frick-n-Frags said, it doesn't mean it couldn't a combination of a few different diseases...

How long have you had this fish. If the fish is new to your tank it may just be stress related. If so, the best treatment is no treatment.

Recently purchased. I bought him about 8 days ago. He is in QT with an Asfur Angelfish that chases it every now and then.
