Got home from work to find my sailfin had gotten its Sail stick in a powerhead, he's alive but will his sail repair it's self or his he a future gonner?

It should heal all in due time.

It will heal, but make sure that powerhead is modified so that it doesn't happen again.

I had a yellow tang witch i still have he jumped out of my aquarium and was out of water for over an hour and his fins dried up an fell off and to see him today you would never know they do grow back quite fast

Should have kept a better eyes on him, i was away from my tank when i posted my post above. He was in worse shape then i tought, he has dead. After i pulled him out i noticed his sail was actualy pull up from his body. Powerhead has been removed and Mr. Fin is now Swimming in the big ocean in the sky.

Sorry to hear. I'm quite fond of mine. Such a character.

When I had an oops involving a power head and a nem, I bought prefilters the next day. I suggest you do the same.

I have successfully used Mela-Fix for healing injuries, its reef safe.

Sorry for your loss - it's truly the pits when you lose fish!

they dont use the sails to swim, but if you break the fronts of them they bleed. im guessing thats where the muscle is they use to flash with
