Which product do you prefer and why? Does one have a stronger dose than the other leading to getting more for your money?

I've used both. My preference is B-Ionic. To get the most for your money, order it online. You could get it by the gallon, or even concentrated to make 5g of each part. You'd have a ton, enough for years on that 55g. If you can find some local reefers, you could divide it out among 3 or 4 people to breakup the expense and just keep 2g (each part) each.

Sure. For larger tanks, a Calcium Reactor is a great tool.

You could always try two part solution (http://www.twopartsolution.com/).

I have used C-balance and B Ionic. I haven't seen a difference. I just bought some of the Two part (haven't mixed it yet). It definitely is a lot cheaper.
