yes it is a sand filter. the sump is not hooked up yet. it is saltwater. ill have to take some more pics of the other pumps and get the dimensions of the tank. in the 2nd pic you can see a big damsel. and as you can see the sand isnt even in there yet its just laying in bags. thats it for now i will get more pics and answer as many questions for you as i can.

Bump. Tagging along on this one as well.
In the future, there is a handy little "subscribe to this thread" button near the bottom of the page. using that will save a lot of peoples wasted time checking a page that that says "tagging along"when theyve been notified of a new post. we would like more information on the tank, not information that yet another person doesn't know how to get email alerts on a thread without typing something.

You know, funny thing.... those email alerts clearly state who it is that is generating them. If one actually take an extra second to fully read them they should be able to tell if they are, or are not coming from the thread starter. ;)
Going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing you wasted more time typing your response to chastize him for his transgression, than you actually wasted logging in to check the update.
And with that said, where has cutnup gone and ran off to and where are those updates???

I am also concerned about the moisture. Seems like it is just sitting out in the open. Those ceiling tiles and pretty much everything else in that store will be in for some rough times.
Hope he did something about it. Great stuff, don't see 6000 gallons too often.

I wonder if there was any update on this tank? I know it was back in 2007... I wonder if it was ever completed or was it torn down?
