dual TDS METER 1/4 QUICK FITTINGS question

I just received my order, thank you BTW.
I do have one question.
Part of my order was the dual TDS METER 1/4 QUICK FITTINGS, the directions state to connect between the inlet and outlet of the DI. I would prefer to connect one to the supply and the other to the final product. Is this okay to do?

Yes you can connect it that way but what you want to know is how your RO membrane and DI resin are performing. The tap water reading once you know it tells you nothing about day to day system performance.
