i think these are 2 feather dusters, they are about half an inch long and bright green. they retract when i make a sudden movement or when my snails were on top of them.

The tubes look right for a sabellid feather duster. We'd need to see a good picture of the animals when they're sticking out of the tube.

those are the best pics i can get with my $30 pos camera... and that is as big as i've seen them get, and i never see anything else sticking out of them... do i need to feed them something so they'll grow bigger? thanks for the help.

I have alot of what looks to be the same thing. I dont know if they pull food out of the water column or not but the tubes keep getting longer and the feather part has gotten a little bigger.

They're filter feeders. If they continue to grow that's proof your tank is producing enough of the microplankton & particulates they eat.

I can see the Featherdusters in the pic. there center not the tubes on the top ridge of the rock. Yes they are featherdusters.
