I have recently set up a propagation tank and I have some basic questions. I will be growing mostly zoanthids, which grow just fine on plugs from what I have heard.
I am also planning on placing some acans and blastos into the grow out system to frag and to get bigger colonies for my display.
Do the blastos and acans require "substrait" (meaning something like rock, sand, ???) to grow out onto, or do they just keep building up their skeleton? I guess I am asking if I should place them directly on the eggcrate or glue them to something larger so they can expand.
