I just got home to see my 2 buckets of salt on the front porch and without careful examination noticed the lid on one of the buckets of salt is totally busted. How am I going to keep my salt from turning into a brick, actually what are you going to do? Do I need to complain to Fed Ex or call the customer service number? Last time I ordered salt from a company they put it in a box. Is it standard percedure to ship salt w/o a box?
order (N7118863-1)
tracking numbers are:
041771150591942
041771150591959
UPDATE: Just went to open the salt bucket to see if the salt is hard. It is not BUT, i was able to unscrew the lid with my hands. correction with a hand. Normally a hammer is needed and recommended as per instruction on lid.

I didn't think that was rude. I ordered a product that was suppose to arrive in decent condition and don't really know if I contact FED EX or DFS. The lid is smashed in and there is debris inside. I don't know what was loaded on the truck but it is now in my salt. I think you would be a little perturbed too. I am going to call customer service now if they are still there.

I would like to say that when reporting a damaged product do not drink on an empty stomach before hand :o. I normally hate calling 1-800 numbers dealing with issues or just ordering, because you end up talking to someone you cannot understand. This is not the case here. I could actually have a converstion with the customer service rep. I just had a horrible experience with a company yesterday when I had to call the company customer rep and was not looking forward to another 1-800 number experience. The rep I talked to was very polite and helpful. I am extremely appreciative for the bucket of salt and will probably toss the damaged one.
