Overflow/syphon rate

Hi All
Being a newb I didnt know about drilling the tank before filling for my sump. I wish to install a syphon overflow unit.

My Tank is about 95L and 2.5 foot. My sump is 18inch x 12 x 10

1. Which overflow siphon would best suit my Tank

I wouldn't use one of these. I would go with a lifereef overflow at www.lifereef.com. They use a J-tube style which is more reliable. I'm a little confused with the dimensions of your tank. What are they with units? Or how many gallons is it?

edit: Oh you live in AU, so I don't know if they deliver internationally. I'd look around your LFS's for one with a J-tube.

Those C channel overflows are terrible. They can not keep a siphon on their own and require an additional vacuum pump to do so. Many people have had bad experiences with them. You are much better off drilling the tank or having someone do it for you. If you do use a Siphon overflow, get a good one based on a U Tube design. They maintain siphon without the aid of a vacuum pump.

Its too late to drill my tank guys, Its been cycling for 2 months now with 20pounds of live rock and 3 damsels living inside...

This is why im going the syphon route...

The overflow rating should be around 600 gph so your return pump can be around 400-600 gph.
