Just make sure temp in bag and tank about the same, add about 1 cup water from tank to bag let sit for about 10 minutes. Then hand pick out or dump most of the bag water down the sink and drop the little suckers in.

Are they ok to be out of water then. One of the snails has gone to the top of the bag and is out of the water already, is that because its too warm.

I heard you had to acclimatise for ages with crabs and snails or is 10 minutes good?

i would put bag in the water and let them sit there for like 30 or 45 mins - then start adding a little bit of water every 10 mins for like 30 mins - thats how i do most of my stuff

Ditto.

Dripping certanly won't hurt but a little overkill.

no no, take your sweet old time on snails. they can die if you rush them into the new water. learned that one the hard way.
