convert pc's to t-5's

Someone mentioned that a pc ballast will run T-5's. Has anyone tried this? I have a 4x96W pc canopy and I'm looking to put in T-5's to help with some of my coral, i.e. clams mainly. I want possibly 4x54w T-5's or more if possible.

YOu will not gain much benefit (if any at all) from the T5s unless you use the SLR (Single Lamp Reflectors) for the individual T5 bulbs. Your best bet would be to sell what you have and get a retrofit kit and ballast.
