Do you mount the transformer to the side of your stand?

Mine are sitting on the bottom of my cabinet. I would be interested to know if there is a better mousetrap. I thought about mounting a plywood shelf inside the cabinet to keep them off the bottom.

Idea I am thinking of:

board or plywood with long machine bolt inserted from the back,
use a nut / lock washer to hold it then slide the transformer on and then use a wing nut to secure it.

then one could mount several in a row some where behind the reef out of the path of water.

I just mounted mine on the stand, so incase there is ever a flood, they will stay dry. Basically, all I did was use a wood screw for the mount.
